This course introduces Civil Engineering diploma students to the fundamental principles and practices of land surveying required for planning and implementing engineering projects. It develops both theoretical understanding and practical skills in chain, compass, plane table, and cadastral surveying. Students learn to record field data, plot maps, locate unknown points, and calculate areas using different methods. The course also familiarizes students with land records such as Khatiyan, Mutation, and Porcha, enabling them to understand property boundaries and land ownership issues. By the end of the course, students will be competent in conducting basic surveys and applying surveying techniques in real-world civil engineering projects.
