To be able to understand the complex numbers which are being used in electrical engineering.

Students will able to learn about Algebra and Trigonometry by studying this subject.
Detail discussions in Algebra will be: AP & GP, Polynomials & polynomial equations, Complex number, Permutation & Combination, Binomial
Theorem for positive integral index and negative & fractional index.
Detail discussions in Trigonometry will be: Ratio of associated angles, Compound angles, Transformation formulae, multiple angles and Submultiple angles.

Rationale: Diploma in Engineering Level students are required to acquire knowledge and skill in the area of microprocessor and microcontroller with special emphasis on the basic concept of PIC, AVR, procedure of embedded coding and hardware testing, microcontroller and
its characteristics, output port characteristics, peripheral module feature, Speed control of DC motor and Industrial control system. Microprocessor & Microcontroller is a subject where the students will deal with the various types of embedded control systems employed in industries. The knowledge of Microprocessor & Microcontroller is the prerequisite for electrical engineer for the effective discharge of their duties in industries.
After completion of this course, students will have the concept of base project development. Here, more emphasis is given to the practical aspect rather than theory in the teaching-learning approach.
Learning Outcome (Theoretical) After completing the course students will be able to:
Interpret architecture of 8086 microprocessor.
* Describe the uses of the PIC series microcontroller.
* Develop an Assembly language program for the PIC mid-range microcontroller.
* Develop a C language program for the PIC microcontroller.
* State the uses of the AVR series microcontroller.
* Develop a C language program for the AVR microcontroller.
*State the Utilize I/O port, Timer, and Counter, Serial communication of microcontroller.
* Prepare Interface with real-world devices.
* Explain the mini development kit.
Learning Outcome (Practical) : After undergoing the subject, students will be able to:
* Execute programs for different MCUs.
* Apply detailed procedure of the microcontroller.
* Develop applications in assembly & C language.
* Originate and test a program for flashing LEDs by using any MCU.
* Develop and test a program for displaying 0 to 9 on a 7-Segment display by using any MCU.
* Drive LCD using any MCU.
* Operate the DC motor using any MCU.
* Drive any AC load (light, fan, etc.) using any MCU.
* Design and test a program for using built-in timer with any MCU.
* Use and configure serial port communication by using any MCU.
* Interface temperature sensor by using any MCU.
