Syllabus (22 Probidhan)

This course introduces Architecture students to the fundamental principles of water supply and sanitary engineering, emphasizing the vital role of water and sanitation in healthy and sustainable living environments. Students learn about water sources, pipes and joints, collection, transmission, treatment, and distribution systems in both urban and rural contexts. The course also covers domestic sanitation, house drainage, sewage systems, wastewater treatment, and rural sanitation practices in Bangladesh, along with health and hygiene considerations. Through practical exercises, students gain hands-on experience in plumbing, pipe joints, water testing, and creating models of toilets, kitchens, reservoirs, and septic systems, preparing them to design functional and safe water supply and sanitation systems in architectural projects.
