Rationale
Water Supply and Sanitary Engineering is very important element in civilization. Social life from the ancient times developed on the bank of water-sources. If society wants to make remarkable growth, the mental as well as social health play a vital role. As a diploma in engineering graduate should have knowledge about sources of water, pipes and pipes joint, collection and transmission system, treatment, distribution method, maintenance and disposal of waste water. This course focuses on students’ acquisition of knowledge, skills & attitude about domestic water supply & sanitation system (external & internal) and house drainage & disposal facilities is imparted. The diploma Engineering student must know about the quality of domestic water to be supplied to the society and treatment of waste water.

1. Make a model of toilet with fittings and fixtures
2. Make a model of kitchen with fittings and fixture
3. Sketch an underground water reservoir
4. Identify different types of plumbing fittings
5. Identify different types of plumbing fixtures
6. Perform pipe joint
7. Perform shower line
8. Set a basin
9. Conduct physical tests of water using turbidity meter
10. Conduct the arsenic test of water using field kits
11. Prepare a model of septic tank with sock well
12. Sketch different types of sewers
